mchack: (unless you are just plain crazy, which I really don't think you are)
mkay adaliabooks: I'm not suggesting you are. I'm suggesting that being converted kind of sucks and that actually sacrificing yourself to save a buddy with more powers then you and give them another night to use them, while also possibly outing a few extra masons might be well worth doing.
As town, voting anyone who has claimed mason with out a counter claim is reckless and dangerous, particularly just because you don't feel that it is true.
Turning your own argument on it's head, mchack only had a couple of votes (three maybe) and unless he was Hunter's buddy he should be able to count on at least one and possibly two people to not vote him if he were scum.
So why would he claim mason now instead of waiting to see how the day panned out? Knowing he would likely be counter claimed (or just shot tonight even if he survived)?
Well, I guess all I can say is I wouldn't make that move if I was in that situation.
I'm guessing it's because, as he said, he was tired of being the lynch target. When I voted for him, he assumed he was pretty much done, so figured he may as well claim, hoping to reveal some masons for his friends (friends plural, I'm pretty sure he's on 3-man cyborg team) to NK.
mchack: don't you dare flipping town. I'd be so angry, I might break another finger just by facepalming so hard! There is just no sense in trying to get one of your only PR lynched if you're town. none.
Of course, there's no reason to do so. But I'm 90% sure you're not a mason. Honestly I think every town player should be skeptical of a mason claim, anyone who's just taking it hook-line-and-sinker is looking for town points.
Also, I'd just like to put this out here, if you are a mason, then I'd say maybe your mason friends should have thought a little harder about trying to appear as vanilla as possible and if there might be side effects to doing so.
