I do think there's a logistical hole or two in the role:

1) you could have just voluntarily claimed D1. You know yogs would've if he'd drawn that role. Not to say it doesn't exist, but it would seem hard to balance around.
2) t's also mostly entirely down to RNG - what if a target gets NKed? Then you're screwed regardless of how you play.

That seems...IDK.

I couldn't just claim. Scum are hardly going to leave alive a player whose sole goal is to destroy their team. I'd have been dead N1, assuming town didn't lynch me first.

If all three targets are NK'd I win with town. If just one is I would still need to lynch the other two to win.

I think we both read it backwards. One of those moments where I stop reading carefully and start imagining crazy possibilities. I thought at first you were describing 3 scum factions and went a little aGoG.

On re-read it seems your goal is to kill townies if you want to kill those in favor of ending prohibition. But I agree, you definitely wouldn't want to run out and claim that. But in the hypothetical world where you were scum-hunting 3 particular targets, scum would leave you alone if you claimed to be otherwise vanilla.

It's not like scum think there are townies who AREN'T out to get them. Had a great joke here, but...I'll be a responsible adult and not pick on anyone.

You also may be over-thinking the factions thing.

But just the fact that you seem to have it in for townies doesn't help you much. Or am I misunderstanding here?

I don't know. My targets might be town, I think they are not.
I don't have hard evidence of a second scum faction, only what my PM tells me. Which is I'm hunting a group of three people who all have the same goal, one which doesn't seem to match with the town win condition (which according to the OP states no particularly preference for any vote, just a diplomatic end to the proceedings) so I believe they are a distinct other faction. The blocking that occurred last night and the dancing around my lynch make me even more certain of this.

Worst case is. You are telling the truth and we lynch an anti-town neutral. Best case is you are lying and are scum.

Lift will tell me by PM if I get one (flavour wise I believe I check their body for documents similar to how the lynch flip info was obtained)

Not sure. I think he is probably town, and not one of my targets, but he may be HijacK's buddy. Possibly also P1na's...
If everyone else still wanted to lynch him I'd get back on his wagon (just in case more than anything else)

I like to see it as a pro town neutral. Like I said, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help me on my way (come on, my goal is to single handedly kill three people), though I will note there is no kind of vig shot or NK among them.

Oh, I'm re-voting him, assuming 8 other players don't beat me to it. I agree with your assessment.

I'm mostly just giving the chance for objections, or to see if anyone has any other business they want to bring up before we bring the vote to resolution. The only question on my mind can wait at least until tomorrow.

I suspect Trent didn't refresh to see my post before his unvote. They were only 2-3 min apart.
