Hey all! Unfortunately the update will come at a later date, most likely the second week of May. The silver lining here is that it may contain additional bug fixes. Our apologies for that inconvenience.

Looking at those patch notes.... That's it? Pffft. Totally next-gen! ;)

I'd actually be more interested if they went into more detail about the very vague "stability improvements" bullet point.

timppu: Well, we have some good news and bad news.

First the bad news:

There are no good news.
We have one good quote here in Brazil.

- So, do you have any news?
- Oh yes! Good and recent ones. The problem is that the recent arent any good, nor are the good any recent.
Judging by experiences being shared online, I think we're better off without that patch. Like it was made for consoles while leaving PC players in the cold.
The """additional content""" promised by bethesda was creation club content.
I do not want creation club content, i purchased this version because of its lack of said content or relations to said content.

Do not add it to the game in the update, do not listen to the people asking for it.

Not all of it only a large chunk was ... the rest seems more like abandoned content they tossed in for some good pr as some content is baked into the game with the update/patch with no CC content page for em last I checked after the steam version updated

Well you don't speak for everyone. I want it in the game. Don't listen to people not wanting it in the game. See how ridiculous you sound?

Suposedly there's a way to disable auto update for a single game. Havn't tried myself, but I intend to.
I also don't get what is the next gen in this patch... I read the notes and there is nothing next gen unless the different performance modes for consoles are considered next gen? But for PC players I really don't see anything special.

Now for the creation content - I wonder for these items that were added with patch. GOG says they are not coming but from what I read in the patch notes aren't the items added inside the game as normal items that you get from missions and not from the online creation club part? I think GOG staff should check this while there is time. If anyone owns the game on Steam can actually help greatly here. But from what I read I think all the items are added in the game by doing the quests mentioned in the patch notes which means this patch should be very much safe to be added fully on GOG too!!!

king_kunat: The DRM-free version of Fallout 4 GOTY we offer on GOG does not include the Creation Club feature – that also means that the update itself will have everything in it, except for the Creation Club related content, hence the delay.
I don't see a reason why these items should not be coming to GOG. They are creation items but they are not added by the Club itself it seems so they are not behinde actual DRM from what I found as info. You guys need to check this out. These are just regular items added as quests rewards very much the same CDPR did with WItcher 3 update where they added Netflix stuff

In regards to the Creation Club content I have the Steam version, and I've both tried the update out and have checked out the game's Data folder.

It's basically the same deal as the content that was included with Skyrim: Anniversary Edition. The Creation Club content is included as part of the update on Steam, you get the .esl plugin files that contain the quest and item data, and the .ba2 archive files that contain the assets as part of the Steam download. You don't need to connect to the Creation Club service or even have a Bethesda.net account to download the content, or to use it.

I'm personally confused as to why GOG thinks removing it is necessary.

It's basically the same as the free content that's included with Skyrim: Special Edition without the Anniversary upgrade. Thanks for information!

I think GOG assumed these items will be added using the Creation Club since they are introduced as creation items but the information you provided just confirms these are added as regular items and there is no need to be removed at all. I really hope someone from GOG reads your post!

If this is true then they need to be contacted now and told to leave it alone and release the update.... and also reprimand the imbecile who thought it needed to happen in the first place. If it's true of course.

I am hoping that it is miscommunication. Naturally creation club itself would get removed, but some CC content, like the enclave stuff, will hopefully be a part of the game. Otherwise we get only broken mods and ultrawide support lol.

I can offer a bit of proof. I did a completely fresh install of the Steam version of Fallout 4 without touching the Creation Club and Mod features. Here's a screenshot of my data folder, and several in-game screenshots of some of the new Enclave soldiers: https://imgur.com/a/PWeNZf5

A note about the first one: Early on Bethesda included placeholders for Creation Club content, so some of the stuff there isn't part of the update and isn't actually available in-game like the Chinese Stealth Armor, Gauss Rifle, etc.

Then GoG needs to see your screenshot and somehow see your post and release the update. This is complete incompetence on their part.
