Anyone played it yet?

So anyway essentially this game is essentially what happens when you have a D&D esque world injected with Steroids.

The monsters are huge (and the Dragon is the BEST Dragon I have ever seen) I mean seriously the game has somewhat average graphics but the designers clearly put alot of attention to detail. The texture work is very high definiation class. And I like how old school fantasy they treat the monsters instead of just goblins they also added HobGoblins aswell.

Combat is real time where in the Warrior's case has a bunch of unique attacks such as an ability to swing your weapon upwards slice Flying monsters or bash your shield to taunt enemies.

Fighting the boss monsters is as if Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus had a baby. You climb on some of them.

What you can't climb, you can either pick up and throw or wrestle. Seriuously, this game is awesome.
I had it pre-ordered. The game is as fun as it was on xbox. It runs so much better too.
Good to see Capcom back in the action. Looks like and seems like it's going to do really well.

I'll save that one for later when I have a better, life.
Played it back on PS3. I'd describe it as a blend between old-school RPGs such as the Elder Scrolls games ( open game world with many towns, NPCs and quests ) and modern Action-RPGs such as Dark Souls ( fast-paced and challenging combat against various XXL-sized creatures ), with some of the best elements from both. It's not flawless by any means, but they got a lot of things right. I really liked how they managed to create a convincing Medieval ( Fantasy ) setting, with careful attention to all sorts of subtle details. Aside from CDPR ( The Witcher ), most developers fail to achieve this. It's also surprisingly complex for a console RPG.
I'm definitely interested in it! Those of you who have it it on Ps3, is there any DLC and if so, will it be making its way to PC? And how is the soundtrack, is it worth a buy separately?
Looks pretty cool! Here is the wishlist.

So... kind of a Saints Row in Forgotten Realms setting?
I just completed a quest where I killed a Hydra and that was epic! scaling one of its necks and chopping off its head was pretty awesome! So far the game seems pretty easy (I had some difficulty killing lizardmen in the well) combat is rewarding. The skills for fighter are delightfully over-the-top as well (launching enemies into the sky with an uppercut strike is boss). I've never seen a playthrough or played the game before, rather I'd only heard how awesome it is. I preordered it and have put about 10 or so hours into it thus far. Very nice game with some tight controls. Some of the combat lacks the weight of battles like in dark Souls, but as a good RPG with a lot of atmosphere, it really rocks thus far. The pawns make the world feel alive (ironically since they're supposed to be emotionless clones). Very well done game as far as I can tell, even if the graphics are a little dated (Maybe there will be some Tex packs or some other mod improvements down the line. If not it's still a great game).

Voted. But it's almost impossible to see a game by a Japanese company on GOG.

The soundtrack is phenominal if you like the music. The DLC are included as the Dark Arisen version is like a gold edition. It's a complete game.

Thank you for the info!
I played briefly on console but couldn't stand the letterboxing and poor frame rate. How long does it take for the game to get good? By that I mean how long until it really opens up and becomes a proper adventure and you stop getting tutorial quests.

Chances of this getting on GOG are basically zero. Capcom is apparently refusing to release this in Japan. One possible reason, given by a Capcom US employee, is that Capcom Japan feel it would dilute the brand. That is, it would upstage the F2P MMO. Let's just forget that the MMO is also on consoles. And let's just forget that Capcom never pulled the console versions of Dragon's Dogma from sale when they released the MMO, eh.

Regardless of reason, if you want this on GOG, you'll need to persuade Capcom Japan. Good luck with that. Capcom Japan, like SEGA, Bandai Namco, and pretty much every single other Japanese publisher, couldn't care less what their (Japanese) customers want.

You don't get tutorial quests. You get given quests and you do them as you please.
