Awesome! Now give us some news about Cyberpunk, loves. That's what I wanna hear about. :D
Congrats CDPR! How about putting the Season' s Pass on sale to celebrate it? ;-)
You are the example to show other developers that it *can* be done: releasing an AAA+ ( <- poking fun at the credit rating code here) game that is not chained to DRM or always-online BS and still make a hefty profit while exposing yourselves to the evil gamers that might Torrent/ Newsgroup you to poverty(WhOoOoOo).

While there always will be some pirates at the coast, I believe that your project is still a major success, both by setting a gaming standard and by collecting lots of funds that you can invest into the next project, while still keeping your employees happy.

I haven' t played your game yet, since I use a system that is more than 7 years old now. and is as such not up-to-specs for this CPU nd GPU-intensive game.
In a way I'm grateful for that, since by the time my current system breaks down all the major bugs will have been wiped-out like a Nekker's nest and I' ll be able to play it complete with all expansions, by that time hopefully on my OS of choice: Linux.

For the people saying FO4 would have been a better GOTY, have you actually finished both FO4 and Witcher 3? If so, what is your opinion of the following:
- writing quality (emotional response, believable characters and dialogue choices)
- the choices&consequences system
- graphics&sounds/music
- character animations
- AI behavior
- combat tactics

To me there's no question whatsoever that Witcher 3 is the GOTY and similarly that it won best RPG and best Developer award. It's actually so good that now it has completely ruined my enjoyment of tons of other (good or great) games I used to like. I now can't stand many of the dialogue choices in tons of classic RPGs, they are childish compared to the Witcher 3 mature and smart writing.

What's strange is how many the judges seemed to like Her Story very much, even gave it best narrative (over Witcher 3) and best character voicing. I played and finished Her Story, it was a cute concept (not original or new) with a cute 2 hour story that you piece together from interview parts but that's about it. It wasn't the best story ever told in a videogame (that's probably The Longest Journey) and it's a relatively small story, you can't really say the Her Story narrative was better than Witcher 3, it doesn't really compare at all, for anyone that has finished Witcher 3, it has some of the best writing in any video games.

Congratulations CDPR, you "ruined" the other games for us :)

I agree with you, i also played "Her Story" a few weeks ago and to be honest i cannot even remember things in the game already but i still remember almost all of Witcher 3. For me the narrative and story in Witcher 3 was way way way better than Her Story. I am not being funny here but Her Story was actually not even good for me. Actually it was crap game. Witcher 3 definitely the best and deserved to win. I have Fallout 4 as well and to be honest the game did not actually pull me in like Witcher did. Fallout 4 good but not even close to Witcher 3.
CONGRATS! You guys totally deserve it.
Congrats! Now don't get bought by EA...
I don't post a lot but I will do it now. You guys deserved it. You are one of the few developers/publishers out there who treat their customers with respect.

So have fun with it. May some more awards like this one follow for future projects.

A long time customer.

Congrats, CD PROJEKT RED! Some well-deserved recognition of both your work on The Witcher 3, and your contributions to the industry as a whole.

Keep up the good work! We expect many more great things to come from your studio.

Vythonaut: Care to share your thoughts? What is your GOTY or DOTY?

Smannesman: Fallout 4 probably falls outside the deadline, but that would be one.
Divinity is another one, Pillars of Eternity.. actually, it's been a very slow year I suppose.
I guess with that competition something like W3 would win pretty much by default.
What is a DOTY?
I can think of several words starting with a D but none that I'd want to admit to.

Edit: Developer of the year?
Fallout 4 was nominated but didn't win any awards. (It was pretty universally panned by journalists for being buggy, so it may not have gotten many votes.) The deadline was November 24, which I think it was in.
Divinity came out originally in 2014, so was before the deadline. I think it was nominated last year.

I think CDPR was a shoe-in for "Developer of the Year", because they are one of the few companies that has customer friendly attitudes towards DRM, DLC, Microtransactions etc. That's as well as making great games.

(On a side note, I consider The Game Awards the most legitimate Game of the Year, because it's voted on by representatives from all the major outlets in game journalism.)

Congrats CDPR!!
