Very popular Japanese RPG is returning with a new, remastered look. The Alliance Alive HD Remastered from NIS America will join other GOG.COM games on 16th January 2020, DRM-free of course. A full of anime-like graphics tale will take us on a quest to free the world from evil Daemon Overlords.

dtgreene: Out of curiosity:
* What level are your characters at the start of the demo?
* What level are you expected to be at the end of the demo?
(Also, if someone has played the old version of the game, what level were you at by end game?)

Anyway, I am hoping that somebody preserves the demo so that it can be played and dissected in the future.

Hikage1983: Demo starts right at the beginning of the game. There are no character levels. Instead you level up weapons, skills and attributes in a manner similar to SaGa games, which should come as little surprise considering SaGa veterans worked on this game. Did not finish the demo so i can't tell how far it takes you.
Well, the whole thing about learning skills during battle reminds me of SaGa, so I guess this makes sense. In any case, this is the answer I was hoping for, and I think I'll get the game if it runs in WINE, at least once the price is reasonable (which could be at release, or it could be on a sale).

Interesting that SaGa veterans worked on this game.

It's $49.99 on the switch eshop, so i'd expect something around that for GoG too.
Nice to see JRPGs coming to GOG! This one looks interesting, I'm looking forward to it. XD
Yay, thank you so much for this release!
I also hope NISA brings over Disgaea, too. I'd buy all of them in a heartbeat.
I played the Alliance Alive on 3ds, and I'm THRILLED to see it on GOG. More people deserve the chance to play it, I personally think it's great.
Not as much as the Bravely series, but still..!
Does not look like the Steam version has achievements either. I will guess that this looks like a complete version on GOG then and likely to get updates on schedule?

Tempting.
Wow, a game I was actually considering buying (already have it on 3DS so it's not something I haven't played already) on Steam is coming here.

This takes it from "Wish List" and drops it right at the top of "Buy List."
Always good to see a remaster come to GOG.
Good job NISA....Now bring some of your other games here such as digaea, operation abyss etc....hopefully when trails of cold steel 3 comes to pc please release it day 1 here.

Midnight_Wolf: This game has a simultaneous launch with the Nintendo Switch, which doesn't have AA ... So i'm guessing somebody got their documents mixed-up in the office. XD

Hikage1983: The switch certainly is AA capable. It's just used sparingly. You are more bound to see it employed in docked mode.

Tho i suspect it is mostly post processing AA such as FXAA.
Tell that to Bandai Namco and other Japanaese developers. The Dragon Ball games and a lot of others have no AA at all.

This a million times. Also, I've asked NISA about bringing the Disgaea games to here, and they said that they have no plans to bring any of them of GOG at this time.

Exactly, and the crazy thing is that they bring a new game here but they won't bring disgaea series which have been released on steam for about 3 years now I believe...Anyways hopefully nisa games will sell well here and then they might consider bringing their other games here.

Also, we're used to issues with games missing the online portion here, so I think Disgaea 5 would go over better on GOG than it did on Steam since the offline portion of the game works very well and it was only gutted of all multiplayer content.
Good news. I no longer have to buy this on Steam.
