I'm not interested in your opinion and would appreciate that you don't add/reply to my posts.
I will compromise and use generic quote tags unless it's important...that good enough?

I can report you again if you like for harassment.
Go ahead and see what they say....it's not against the rules to reply to posts so stop trying to intimidate me or I will report YOU.

Addition: As per your post below I have screenshotted your threats and attempts at intimidation and sent them to gog. Have a good day.

RottenRotz: Was this the worst year for classic games on GOG?Will this become a trend now as GOG already signed as many publishers as they could.Thoughts?

GameRager: There were a few too many sims/more "niche" indie titles I dislike coming here, but I don't think we did too bad & think people should be allowed to play them so im also glad they are here.

As for classics, games can become classic with time, so "new classics" can still be released here hopefully in the future(and also soon to be potential classic with some indie games). :)

Tauto: It's not my type of game so #9 of bestselling is nothing to me and it could be #1 and still be the same.

GameRager: While getting games here one wants is nice, getting good selling games helps the site continue to run and grow.
Yes,games will become classics as time goes, but as of now we are already missing hundreds of classic games that are 15+ years not to mention 10+

DadJoke007: In my mind, TotalBiscuit was like Gandalf, all that stood between gamers and the balrog that is nasty corporate policies against customers. When he passed away, it's like the paragon of good disappeared and evil went rampant.
He and others did indeed point out problems and call them out and had a big enough voice to make a difference.

But with Google/Youtube intentionally making it so new people can't get a foothold anymore and squashing out those they don't like, Youtube is becoming just another TV network, where they plan to have corporate channels, Celebrities, movies and TV shows, sorta another NetFlix.
One of the problems is the word "classic" its self. Should the title be given due to sales or some other criteria ? People's taste for anything, including games, more often than not don't agree. Some people's ideas change over time as well, for eg. I have started playing a genre of game, a couple of years ago, I would not have considered.

I can't answer the thread question for the above reasons, but I am hoping Gog continues to thrive and offer me all types of games, for many years to come.

Yes, it was. Next year will be so much better, and from then on the only way is up up up!

Soon you will have so many classic games that you will be like "Ewww... not another classic. I am already so fed up with them! Enough is enough.".

But no, more just keeps coming! Hahahaha... ha... erm... yeah...

Indeed, there is an unholy union (crony capitalism) between big tech and government, it's hard to tell where big tech ends and government begins because big tech is so far up the government's ass (or is it the other way around?). This eliminates any unwanted newcomers and innovators from gaining ground before they even pop up while giving the illusion of a free market and a free Internet.

Oh well, we had a good ride. At least we got to experience the golden years of the Internet.

I agree for the most part...but as others said gog likely has gotten many of the "low hanging fruit"(games they make run on new OSs easily, can get the licenses to sell, etc) already in those age brackets, so until they can maybe get more of them they should focus on slightly newer classics. :)

I dislike how gaming companies have had to bow more and more to social pressure to calm the outrage mob masses, and how some social figures have used govt pressure and laws to influence some game devs via "h*te/h*te speech laws" in some countries(to get them to change their works away from their visions).

And even without such laws on gaming/media they shame companies in public irl/online until they cave for the most part...leading to "safe" entertainment online and off being the word of the day(for the most part), in gaming and other forms of media.

Oh i'd say there's a golden age yet to have with the internet. But the big tech monopolies need to be unseated or people to stop using them.

You sure you need forums? You seem quite entertained by yourself...
Not many classic games left without licensing issues. People keep demanding more frequent releases but you can't release what you can't get.

Only avenue I see is to get more "old" games from 5-10 years ago, but I'd guess the corporations still don't want to let those go DRM free or they don't sell incredibly well so GOG doesn't push for it. One or the other.

AB2012: 2. Ironically due to the success of GOG, some larger studios have realised there's still a market for old games and are withholding some of their old content for their own storefronts.
That makes me think of Epic, but the Unreal games are still on GOG. Ubisoft too still has games here. Are these the result of contractual terms or were you thinking of other companies?
