sunshinecorp: I've said it before and I'll say it again... I cannot recommend KILL la KILL enough! If you want a hillarious genre parody that's action packed to the brim, a rollercoaster of endless fun and battles, you just gotta see it. There's nothing quite like it and that's strange because it's copying loads of others for its parody. This one is recommended for a long binge. Be mindful of the heavy amounts of fan service, though. I like it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Thankfully, no lolis.
Don't forget Gurenn Lagann if you're mentioning Kill L Kill.

eh I got the general impression that kill la kill was primarily trying to copy Cutie Honey, specifically Re:Cutie Honey which was animated by Gainax.

It is.
Went into Welcome to N.H.K assuming it would be about conspiracies, it's good but can you guys give any recommendations in conspiracy type animes?

Higashi no Eden, Canaan, C, Mnemosyne, Speed Grapher

Those are the ones that would fell right int he category and probably the best. I might remember some more, but those come to mind right now.

Thank you for the suggestions! I'll start with Higashi no Eden. :)

Remembered two more: Crystal Blaze and Yakushiji Ryoko.
Watched FLCL, kinda disappointing.

Really? Sounds like you need to watch it again :)

Anyway, everyone has their own tastes, FLCL is one of my top anime of all type, but I've dropped other people's favorites after 1-3 episodes (Mushishi, K-on, Texhnolyze, etc.)

I guess it depends on what exactly you mean by conspiracy. All of the below might fit:

Shinsekai Yori
Psycho-Pass
Madoka
Shimoneta
Jin-roh
Speed Grapher
Gargantia
Yuuki Yuuna
Witch Hunter Robin
Evangelion

Why would I need to watch it again? xD
I just didn't really like the humour.
I liked the art but it wasn't enough to keep me interested.
I'm currently watching Zero no Tsukaima.

I watched 2 of 4 seasons so far, really nice anime.
