In the anime you get maybe a few minutes for the first one that dies. A lot of the impact is lost as you don't get enough time to get to know them.

Halfway through Danganronpa and it's a real piece of shit... Everything about it sucks, the script doesn't make sense, all the characters are retarded, the voice acting sucks, etc. etc. etc. If whoever made this filth were in front of me right now, I'd strangle him .

To be fair though the english voiceover of the game is just as terrible.

I won't.... Loved DB and DBZ when I was a kid, but now...I don't care about it. And from what I heard DBS (first episode ?) isn't really good anyway.

As for sci-fi, except for the ones already mentioned (although I hated Gunbuster) I would definitely recommend Space Dandy. I also really liked Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and Eve no Jikan - both are slice of life stories about androids and gynoids; and Baoh the Visitor, based on the previous work of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's author (and it is truly bizarre).

Oh, now I remembered - Knights of Sidonia, while kind of ugly because of CG, is really nice as well.

My friend has called it the worst anime he's ever watched, but hi taste is shit so knock yourself out.

Finished Samurai Champloo. Pretty nice, though nowhere near as good as Cowboy Bebop. I really watched it to see what happens next. Such a strange world.

Near the ending, and it's been good. The production values are crappy, but the characters, storyline, graphics, etc. are all above average . It's also very unbalanced - the first episode was excellent, but the rest varied in quality a lot, even more than an episodic show .

Would recommend, but don't go in with unrealistic expectations .
