I'm a big fan of turn-based combat (Might & Magic 3-5, Fallout 1 & 2, Geneforge, etc), because I absolutely suck with real-time combat. Because of this "gaming disability" (I just made that up now!), I've missed out on a bunch of action-rpgs with awesome graphics that have gotten rave reviews over the years for their stories.

So as a fan of the role-playing aspect of rpgs (you know, actually being able to make choices that alter the story), it only now occurred to me that maybe there are some action-rpgs with great graphics, great story, and a super-easy difficulty setting (I mean like, the only way to get myself killed is by purposely doing something really stupid) for those of us who just want to enjoy the story (because, admittedly, we suck with real-time combat).

So, any suggestions?

Witcher 2 most definitely.

I loved it played both paths,if you haven't played it already get it on a sale.
The original Witcher game. It's somewhere between old school RPG and new school. It has a lot more personality in its mechanics than the sequels.
Victor Vran fits that description quite well :) Also, if you have an Xbox 360 gamepad, the combat becomes a bit easier since you have all your necessary buttons in one place :)
I'm not very good in real time combat click-click-click-RPGs but I do like the ones that are real time with pause, like Baldur's Gate games and Pillars of Eternity. They are not super easy but you can pause as much as you want. Also if you want something different, not really RPG, Satellite Reign (Syndicate spiritual successor of sorts) has a real time with pause mode. Haven't tried it but it's there.
I've tried real-time with pause (Icewind Dale). I gave it a fair chance, spent a few hours with it...just wasn't working out for me. But interestingly enough, the first two Witchers were what I was thinking of trying while they're on sale.

Still, I'd like to hear about any other games here on GOG that might fit my description.

In my case, I use Cheat Engine to make a demi-god character in the form of maxed skills, attributes, and all positive traits. Considering that I am a complete and utter wuss, it allows me to enjoy games that I otherwise can't handle. All you need is a cheat table that is compatible with your version of a game.

EDIT: Do you have an interest in FPS-RPGs, like Deus Ex, Bloodlines, or New Vegas? They have quest styles similar to Fallout 2.

Sacred is pretty good and all you need to do is just click on things and they die :)

Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition has pretty easy combat, an interesting story, and narration by Tom Baker in certain places :)
Skyrim is an Action-RPG isn't it? And at lower difficulty settings, you would have no troubles at all. Finally there's texture mods which make it look very beautiful so it satisfies your graphics requirements as well. However it isn't available on GOG. (Sorry, I read the first post and this popped up in my mind) There's also god mode available which can be turned on using console commands.

With exception of the God mode comment, this is a good recommendation.
I would also recommend all three Witcher games. They can be set to fairly easy. The easy mode of Witcher 3 is even called "Story mode", for people who just want to enjoy the (really great) story. I would recommend reading the books first, but sadly they're not all available in English yet (although there are probably fan-translation floating around the net).

I suggest Torchlight 2. I got four difficulty settings, and playing on Casual won’t require you to perform tactical stunts to click things to death. I’m not sure regarding the story. For the most part it’s just an excuse to send you around and have you kill stuff with your usual high-fantasy-doomed-world-blah-blah if you’re okay with that.

Two worlds 1 @ 2
Torchlight
Sacred
Divine divinity, beyond, ego Draconis
Risen 1 @ 2

Plus a whole ton not on Gog at the moment

I'd like to thow the Dungeon Sige games into the hat, I play them as RTS well all fireballs blazing and hope for the best] but you can pause and use tactics.

same with the dragon age games.

Hope you fnind something worth playing

all the best

Depends on your expectation about graphics, but have you tried Driftmoon yet? That one is pretty simple and not that hard in terms of real time combat, it's a nice light-hearted RPG adventure with dialogues and puzzles. IIRC it also has some choices.

I think Nox wasn't really hard either, but it's been a long time since I last played it and I can't judge where to draw the line on what you would find easy and what too difficult to handle. I don't remember it having choices that alter the story, but I think you will partially travel through different areas depending on your choice of character class.

Neverwinter Nights can be a game about choices and not too hard combat, too, but I can't quite recommend the official campaign myself, because I found it too long, boring and tedious for the most part. If you choose to go with custom campaigns though, you can just pick one that's light on combat and heavy on roleplaying choices.

EDIT: I wouldn't call the the first Witcher game easy real time combat though. Regular combats are not too difficult if you can keep the rhythm, but the first boss battle is insane and can be extremely frustrating even for people who usually don't have a problem with real time combat.
