Most battles are fought using mobile suits, and the game allows extensive customization of them, encouraging players to collect and use more powerful parts. This homage that combined classic RPG elements while stitching together the different Gundam continuities kept me glued to the screen. Imagine having a Zaku with an Acguy's claws while hovering with a DOM's legs. Such fun!
I absolutely love this game. When I was a lot younger I used to play it on my PS2 and I would spend a lot of hours trying to level up and do multiple different things and of course I cheated in the game, yadda yadda yadda. But the game is so fun. It's a JRPG/RPG and it's in the Gundam universe and it's so unique.

One of the best Gundam games we ever got in the west, ignored by most because it didn't say Gundam in the title. Sure, it uses a weird half SD art style, but once you get past that, this game is amazing. It has a good original story (and we REALLY need more games that aren't just having you replay story bits from the various anime). It lets you collect parts from suits and build your own, and you can even paint them. You can upgrade most parts so they stay relevant, so if you really want those Gyan arms on your Guntank torso, you're not going to get hosed until the end game (where the secret suits just blow everything out of the water). The characters are likeable. The story isn't going to throw anything mind twisting at you, especially if you know anything about Gundam plots, but it's fun to cruise through. Mostly play this to have an RPG where you collect and customize your suit. Gundam Breaker meets PS2 era JRPGs. This is one of those Good Old Games that deserves to live on, and without having to find a working PS2 and pay hundreds of dollars for a rare disc that's probably all scratched up anyway. Let's help this program do it's job.
This game needs more attention. I came out in a time where a lot of people in North America both did not really know much about Gundam and the version out in stores made it hard to know it was about Gundam both with the title and the box art. This is a great RPG with the ability to customize your mechs. This deserves to be preserved and playable by more people.
Those games also need your vote!

Wild Arms 4
Wild Arms 4You play as a young teenager named Jude Maverick. You live in a quiet village that floats high above the ground, unaware of the world that lies beneath it. But one day, your world is shattered to pieces, and you descend onto the earth to face the terrible reality: the world of Filgaia was devastated by wars. A few settlements amidst rusty tanks is all that is left of civilization. The democratically elected government has some plans for improving the conditions of the world, but as you meet a young girl whom they used as a tool for their purpose, you realize you must find a better plan to save her, and the world, from complete destruction. The fourth installment of the Wild Arms series abandons its traditional Wild West theme and is set in a post-apocalyptic world. The gameplay system introduces hex-based battles. Battle screens are divided into seven hexes, each one of which can hold several party members or foes. You navigate your characters on the battle field, trying to force the enemy into an uncomfortable position. There is also a variety of skills you can learn and apply in battles to get benefits. As in previous Wild Arms games, the dungeons contain many environmental puzzles to solve.
