A brilliant sequel to a fantastic game. The story is a continuation of shadow hearts 1 which is a spiritual successor to Koudelka. There’s a large cast of characters and a lot of interesting history and mythology.
This is the game that got me into JRPGs. I just fell in love with the story, characters and even its unique way it did turn based combat. I would be nice to see this game ( and the rest of the games for that matter) be properly preserved and not forgotten about on the PS2. (Plus I believe should experience the absolute nonsense that is the character Joachim Valentine and the silly MGS like segment done by Blanca.
One of my favorite hidden gems. Fusing with monster souls and taking their forms feels very powerful, and the Judgment Ring system is a clever twist for turn-based RPGs. It's one of my favorite games with an intriguing story, unique setting, and a devilishly handsome anti-hero.

This is such a unique JRPG. A dark fantasy set in the background of WW1-esque Europe? It's incredible. The writing is excellent, the characters are multi-faceted, the gameplay is unique and interesting. The only thing that kept it from selling as many copies as it should have is coming out at the same time as Final Fantasy X. It's also the only game in my knowledge to make BOTH endings of the preceding game canon (i.e. the good AND bad ending both happened).
probably one of the greatest rpg line up of all time and nobody knows it exists along with Koudelka, hoping that GOG sees these games and works there magic so they can be experienced on modern consoles, these games absolutely deserve to be brought back again.
The Shadow Hearts series left a lasting impact on me, blending dark themes with deeply personal stories that reshaped my understanding of RPGs. From the start, I was captivated by its mix of supernatural horror and emotional depth. The characters, like Yuri and his companions, faced inner struggles, trauma, and difficult choices. Their growth and redemption resonated with me, teaching me that we aren’t defined by our past but by the choices we make. The Shadow Hearts series also taught me the value of perseverance. The Judgment Ring battle system required precision, timing, and risk, making me more patient and thoughtful both in and out of the game. It reinforced the importance of overcoming challenges and embracing the unexpected in life. What made Shadow Hearts truly unique was its exploration of complex themes, like the nature of good and evil, fate, and sacrifice. The game’s mature storytelling, combined with its historical and cultural influences, sparked my curiosity about the world around me. It showed me that even in the darkest times, there’s room for redemption and growth. Ultimately, Shadow Hearts reshaped how I view RPGs and storytelling. It reinforced that life is filled with light and darkness, and the journey to overcome them often leads to meaningful change.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
