Hi guys,

During my second playthrough of the game, which I was thoroughly enjoying, the game suddendy stopped being able to launch. The game was installed through GOG. What happens is when I press the 'play' button, it briefly greys out as if booting the game. Shortly after, however, the play button will turn green again.

Sometimes this also starts up a background process, other times not. I have tried verifying the local files, and I have reinstalled the game twice. My drivers appear to be fully up to date.I have also reinstalled GOG twice. I have done further troubleshooting, but nothing seems te work or be applicable to my specific situation.

I am running on windows 10 64 bit.

A detail that may help: The last time I closed the game, it kept playing the music in the background (which seems to happen quite often to many people). Since it wouldn't stop, I check the processes, and it turned out the game still had a background process running. I cancelled this process and the music stopped. After that the game never worked again.

Really hoping someone has a suggestion. Dying to get back into the game.

Thanks in advance!

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Immediately after reboot, before you do anything else, open Galaxy and 'More >> Manage Installation >> Verify/Repair'.
3. Temporarily disable any antivirus or security suite.
4. Try again.

It appears that doing the verification right after reboot has fixed the issue!

Let's hope it stays that way.

Thanks a lot!
