Hello.

I'm encountering a very slow download (0.1 to 1 MB) for The Witcher 3. When I download other games with the Galaxy Client I get a lot better speeds. My speed is 400 Mbit/s and I don't have any other issues with any other download stuff at the moment.

It sometimes even goes to 0.0 MB/s :S.

Anyone got the same issue and knows how to resolve? Or we could simply look together for a solution. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit if that matters :).

Some notes: My windows Firewall is off, I have no anti virus or anything related.

Sincerely,

Lifell00

EDIT: I know it could be a "many people want to download the game" thing but I suspected someone would have posted by now about slow download speeds.

Well the most obvious solution would be they upload TW3 from a different server than the rest of their games, and due to the high demand (and Galaxy), the game is being downloaded by thousands (or rather tens of thousands) of people at once. Patience is virtue :)

Maybe you're right, but I suspected dozends of people complaining about it here :P. I think it has something to do with: my pc, GOG Galaxy or my provider.

If dozends of people are unable to download I highly doubt all of them would keep quiet =] :P. Thanks for your reply though, I just want to know if it's my own fault. Otherwise I just be patient.

Note: I edited the main post with some info (like 1 line but that's all I can think of that's really important :P)

The max I can get is 1.25 MB/s with GOG downloader. But who cares? We have 7 days to preload, it will be ready when the game is released.
At least its pre-loaded about a week beforehand just hope its sorted soon.
The preload is very slow in here as well but they haven't officially announced the preload just yet. Perhaps they are still in the middle of getting additional servers up before it's official.
Who cares if it's slow.....the game comes out in like a week.
Slow download for me as well, anything between 0.1 - 1.5 mb/s

I agree with what most of the others are saying also, thousands of people are probably trying to preload at the same time as we are so it's more than likely causing strain on the servers :-) patience is the best thing here.

That, and we have over a week to preload anyway :P
It's weird, downloading through the client is very slow but downloading manually from the website is maxing out my connection.
i get 4-5 mb/s on the first part, cant complain...
1 MB/s, I live in Poland. Maybe that has something to do with downloading speed. Anyways it's the speed I also download games from Steam, so it.s good. Nothing supernatural with download speed for me.

Yeah just tried that. Through the GOG downloader I'm hitting like 8mbs. Isnt there a way you can "import" downloaded games onto Galaxy?
I am getting a server problem??

Yup, I'm pretty sure I've seen that feature before I started downloading. I think when you abort download you'll see it in configure menu.

Install the game using offline installer, in Galaxy select the game from the library, then "More"->"Manage..."->"Import Folder" and select the folder in which you installed the game. For some games Galaxy re-downloads some stuff, for most of the games it's about several MB.
