I wasn't sure if anyone else has come across this, or even during other quests, but I had a weird glitch happen during the end portion of this quest.
In an attempt to keep it spoiler free, it goes like this:
You defeat 'him' in the cave the first time, conversation starts and you pick your conversation path. You get the timed dialogue choice. You then make your choice, some of the animations happen (he stands up). Then as the screen fades to black, you return to the beginning of the conversation.
However, there are 2 copies of him now, 1 standing, 1 lying down. The conversational path you chose the first time is marked to show you already said those things. You then go through the entire conversation again (any choices, same or different this time, doesn't matter), you get to the timed dialogue option again, then whatever choice you pick this second time actually happens.
It seems to continue perfectly normally after this.
So, it's not game breaking so far as I can tell, albeit a little annoying, and only the second time around do your conversation choices kick in and are acknowledged.
I tried various backtracked save files, happens every time in my play through.
I only recently purchased the game. All the DLC so far available was installed before I began my play through, there was 1 update that happened during my play through, but this was very quickly into White Orchard, before I was even close to leaving.
Anyway, yeah, thought it was curious and wondered if it happens anywhere else in the game, if it's specific to this quest, or if I'm the first (doubt it..) to have come across this!
Thanks
