Hi, everybody!

Where can I learn what happens in the time period after "Lady of the Lake" and the first game?
I'm having trouble finding detailed information about it. I've only managed to find out the bullet-points, but that is not what I am looking for.

If anybody could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The games are only 'based' on the books, so (assuming you've read the books) the only reference you have is in-game narrations, dialogue, books and other info. Read everything; listen to everyone.

If you ignore the fairy-tale wedding where all the dead friends attend, and they all live happily ever after, as Ciri tells Galahad, then the lady of the lake finishes with Geralt & Yennefer left safe and alone together on the Ilse of Avallach in late September of 1268.
In the games, you learn little of the period between then and Geralt being found alive outside Kaer Morhen in the spring of 1270, until the end of Witcher 2, when Geralt has regained all his memory. (although the dates in the game contradict themselves all over the place, sometimes out by as much as 3 years)
Between your flashback memories and talking to Letho of Gulet at Loc Muinne, you realize that Geralt and Yen have a year of bliss among the apple trees, until riders of the hunt kidnap Yennefer, to use her as bait to attract Ciri.
Geralt goes off in pursuit, but loses their trail.
In July of 1270, he comes upon Letho, Serrit, and Auckes, and saves Letho's life after he was struck by a slyzard.
The Witchers from the school of the Viper have had a particular interest in the Wild Hunt and know where they will find them.
The winter solstice, 1270. Midinvaerne - the night of magic.
The four witchers catch up to the red riders in Velen, at the Hanged Mans Tree.
They kill many of the Riders, but Caranthir just ports in more, and the battle is a stalemate.
Geralt offers Eredin himself in exchange for Yennefer, and the elf agrees.
Geralt joins the Red Riders, and Yennefer, Letho, Serrit, and Auckes head south to Nilfgaard.
Yennefer got herself in all sorts of shit, and the witchers would rescue her, because Letho felt he owed it to Geralt.
Eventually they were all captured in Nilfgaard by Vattier de Rideaux. The Witchers went to work for Emhyr var Emries and headed north.
Yennefer remained in Nilfgaard.

Zoltan and Yarpin left Rivia for Ard Carraigh. Zoltan's salt mine venture failed, and he went south to Vizima, where his old mate Munro Bruys had got himself a job as bouncer, at the Hairy Bear Tavern.
Dandelion continues his travels, and finds himself in Vizima's trade quarter when Geralt shows up.
Triss Merigold spent her time between Kaer Morhen, and Foltest's court in Vizima, trying to cement Kiera Metz's old job as Foltest's royal advisor, working with the Lodge of Sorceress'.

At the peace treaty signed in Cintra, all 53 of the Vrihedd Brigade officers had to be handed over to the north for execution ( Isengrim Faoiltiarna and Iorveth escaped before execution.)
And no Scoia'tael were allowed to return to Dol Blathanna, effectively making the Valley of the Flowers a pointy earred nursing home, as Elves only breed for the first hundred years, and all the Elven youth had joined the Scoia'tael.
So they were left to cause trouble, roaming the North after the war. (Which suited Emhyr, as it weakened the North for another attack.)
Aedirn had it's elf hunters, lead by White Rayla. Temeria had it's elf hunters, the Blue Stripes, lead by Vernon Roche, and the order of the flaming rose, set up and funded by Dijkstra in order to keep the sorceresses in check and based in Temeria, but they too became non human hunters.

Ciri tore Geralt from the clutches of the Red Riders and left him outside Kaer Morhen, with amnesia, and then draws the Aen Elle away in pursuit of her.
That's where Witcher 1 starts in the spring of 1270.

Both Zoltan and Dandelion claim they saw Geralt die in Rivia 5 years ago, but the dates given in the game show it has only been 2 years.
Witcher 2 starts in 1271, 4 weeks after Geralt saves Foltest from the assassin in Witcher 1.
