Hello all.
At level 39, I had Viper gear created (Armor, gauntlets, boots, trousers) at which it said a Master was needed to create them at level 39.
Looking at both Silver and Steel sword, it says Ametaur craftsman is required at level 1 and level 2 which makes them useless at my level 40. Is this a bug? Shouldn't all Witcher gear be created at the same level?

No, the Viper swords are some of the first diagrams I found in White Orchard. I still use them when I'm already moved on working on the Baron quest line. I'm also working on getting the Griffin swords as well. You tend to find the swords way before the armor by the looks of it

Thanks. I think I found the answer. It looks like the Viper Armor came about with Heart Of Stone installed. Without Heart of Stone, you only get the 2 swords.
