For no apparent reason, the game has become unplayable due to horrible lag ( mouse responsiveness has 4-5 seconds delay) frame rate has dropped to around 5-10. I have no idea what the hell went wrong since the only change was updating my nVidia drivers from 346.xx to 352.xx...I looked everywhere but I could not find the way to return to previous driver! I am only assuming that this is the cause since nothing else changed on my laptop pc...I just cannot play it anymore. I even thought of re-installing the game but see no logic nor how it would help. No other AAA high end game has this problem so blaming my nVidia 650M video card is not justified. It played before with a reasonable good frame rate (other than bugs and glitches of invisible horses, horses riding through the ground or up in the air etc, and the lag with voices and mouth movement)... I was able to play the game despite these weird glitches as long as frame rates were around 30-40 on a medium quality. Now with frame rates 5-10 it is unplayable! Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea how to fix it? Thanks!

If you wish to roll back driver:

Thank you gunsynd, I was looking within nVidia app to do that and could not find it...wrong place. I will try using info from your link!

Did you check if the game switched back from "fullscreen" to "borderless window" mode? The borderless window mode performs badly sometimes. Just take a look in the game options, maybe this helps.
Damn! I rolled back the Driver and the game won`t even start! I tried re-installing game in case some of the graphic components need to be re-installed but no go! I am now going to go back to the updated driver to see if it is going to work!
As for ``Full-Screen`` / ``Borderless`` issue, I have no idea but will look into...
Looks like I will have to delete the game , clean up registry and install from scratch....or just give up. So much hassle!
Did you made sure that the game doesnt lauch with your integrated GPU (usually intel HD graphic something) ?

I have that problem very often with even the most recent games... So I have to change the game's GPU in the Nvidia control panel ;)

(sry for my bad english, not native :S)

I do this with every game! so yes it was running on my nVidia 650M!
In the end I had to delete the game and reinstall it after cleaning my registry. It works but I still have bad fps (max 12-15). I will have to abandon this game and save some money to buy a better laptop with nVidia 900M series video card. Until then, no The Witcher 3 for me. Sad, very sad but that`s life. :(
