Open the game (have it running) and delete or move some of the games locally. The cloud will sync what you have in your documents, but only when the game is running.

Yeah. I was doing that and the only one left when I opened up the Load thing was the last one saved, but said it was still a little over 1 Gb of Files on the Computer. I found some in in a Folder in Documents and deleted most all of them. Have no clue as to where they are. I was messing around and then lost the last file so have to start over and I was well into NG+ . As fare as I know the files are still there.

The saved games are kept in

..\Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves\

Delete what you don't want from there then close the game (cloud will sync).

I have done that. Nothing in there but thumbnail Images. Cloud is still shing a little over 1000Mb after I deleted every thing I could find. I think there may be another fly in the ointment. I had Played Through the Original Version of TW3. Had a Problem, and wiped the drive. In the process, I lost my Save games so had to start over and I had just gottem NG+ when it came out. Started again and was a ways in it when TW3 GOTY came out, so got that and installed it ( Hard Copy ). I had to started over yet again as my Save files did not transfer to the new version from the old version. I had to wipe the drive again, and saved the save games. When I got back up, I just installed TW# GOTY ( I had both Installed before I wiped the drive ) TW 3 original is in my Library, but not installed.

Then turn OFF syncing altogether in Galaxy options. You are saving manually, so you absolutely don't need it.

Probably not, but it is nice in Steam, as if I have and issue where I have to nuke the drive. I can reinstall the games and pick up where I left off. I suppose, I could just move the save files to another Drive and do what I have to do and then move them back when I am ready. Think I may have over done the saves as i think I was saving everytine Gerault Hiccupped. :-)
I also have this problem, I purged some saves from my save folder so it's now only 663mb and still Galaxy says it's over 1GB.

I think it synced/uploaded most of my old files but stopped at 1GB and now it refuses to stop syncing those. Not sure what to do.

It's not the end of the world personally, I have backups of stuff but it would be nice to get this working.

Back up what saves you want. Turn OFF syncing altogether in Galaxy. Play the game. Quit the game. Galaxy syncing will clear at that point. Turn syncing back on.

Keep in mind that you surrender your option to manage your saves manually when you use a cloud syncing service.

Good point. Maybe I'll avoid using this for now then, I don't launch it using gog normally so it won't always sync.

I play the game using a Steam Link so I kinda need Steam. Maybe if Steam could launch galaxy which launches the game and syncs it, doesn't seem that you can make shortcuts that makes galaxy do that though.
