but they also say that is more demanding than expected.

My conclusion is : no downgrade but just an underestimated SYS REQ

now i'm sure amazon will get a lot of order this evening.....

P.S. i got 2 980 SLI and i think amazon will not get my order........... sorry amazon
Wow, if one can get these graphics with a R9 290X, then my little R9 290 will happily lead me in these beautiful landscapes the world of The Witcher 3 offers :D

based on what i posted up on your post i don't think so, pc is still the best platform but is Huge game with huge real sys req

i agree the only thing here is that the r9 290 is "a little bit more" than gtx 770.

so if you want to play the game well the 770 is perfect if you really want to play the game as was in the mind of cd project red than sorry r9 290 or gtx 970 / 980 needed

will stop it for sure no one can deny evidence....

but maybe if we hurry we can make a new thread on why they missed the sys req.......

As i wrote on neogaf sometimes i ask myself why i'm stupid and one day i'll find an answer
Also it seems there's a lot of hidden settings in game config files, that can be tweaked manually that enable all those disabled effects, but I bet that the reason they are hidden is that no current PC can run it (like no PC could run W2 with UberSampling when it released, which caused a shitstorm on forums).
is not fully correct, the screen show that you can run the game full with a "TODAY PC"

but it must be a solid machine that cost at least 1000 €, so the truth is that the game is the same but the req raised a little.

I think that for this game a player can invest some money.

I read somewhere that Übersampling was actually designed especially (if not exclusively) for SLI. I don't know if this is bullshit, but the last time I played The Witcher 2 with my current rig, since I don't have SLI, I had some big FPS drops in Act 2 up on the hills and close to the Harpies' Nest, and yet I have the recommended rig for The Witcher 3 and even a bit beyond.

not long now until we see for ourselves!
maybe i don't trust any publisher but, for fuck's sake, i still trust my eyes, and to an indipendent journalist that i know

My pc won't be able to run TW3 at too high a graphics settings, but the whole downgrade ordeal is still very tasteless. It is not about the graphics themselves, it is that CDPR stated they wouldn't put consoles before PC.
Yet the videos and images linked in this thread would seem to prove otherwise.

As long as this has no negative impact on the UI or controls on PC, people will propably forget all about this once the game releases.
pls dont lie CD
i hope it's true... 13 hours to check by myself

So yeah...seems everyone is enjoying the game since this discussion stopped before its release. Very beautiful game, been running it maxxed out on a 970. Love it graphically, and love it gameplay wise.
