i want to know that ,too.
I think this looks so nice ^^ But I only own a 670 ._. I don't think, that's sufficient xD at least not for ultra settings. But I think, you COULD get along with the 970.
Wondering what the requirements say...

Recommended system requirements: GTX 770 and 8 GB RAM.

This would imply that it somehow works with the 970, doesn't it? I am a noob regarding hardware... Hope it helped anyways! ^^

Probably not. From what I've heard a single 980 cannot maintain stable 60fps with Nvidia Hairworks.
EDIT: Oh I forgot, Nvidia driver is not ready.

NVIDIA have said they expect 1080p, 60fps, HW & Ultra to require a 980.
A 970 will manage everything except HW at 60fps... but should manage with HW at a lower framerate... which might be acceptable with G-Sync or similar adaptive technology.

I'm certainly going to try it.

9xx series cards are supposed to be significantly faster at tessellation than earlier generation cards, so a 780, may or may not be adequate.
Not at 60 FPS for sure, not even the 980 can handle hairworks without framerate drops.

yeah its on nvidias page but i think gyz from cdpr that demonstrated ultra 1080p 60fps said they had to turn off HairWorks coz it was too demanding and broke the 60 fps
to be fair no where in their table did they say 60 fps

970 with hair works is going to be like 35 FPS at 1080p with everything else on 0.o or 53 FPS with it off from what i hear 0.o
Guess it will be a trade-off between uber or hairworks. Should help if the GTX 970 is overclocked so it approaches stock 980 performance.

tbh i rly dont see the point in makin the card OC and suffer more hot temps just to have hairworks :D
u will need titan x for this , fortunately i have it, no way a 970 can do it, weak card

The beauty of OC on 970 is that it barely affects temperature :)

It's not a weak card, but if you must justify your spending by picking on cheaper hardware, so be it :)

According to Nvidia, a GTX 980 will run the game at uber settings with gameworks. Probably at 30 fps though.

Just get a dedicated card for physx/gameworks. I currently use a 750ti for a dedicated physx card and it handles the load pretty well in most games.
I don't really care about all the over the top quality settings, so uber settings without gameworks is fine to me, gameplay, controls and story is more important to me, then hair quality.
