HertogJan: If it's similar to the
Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition you get 2 separate installers. In that case there should never be an auto update. Check the attached image to see what it looks like from the library.
I'm guessing GOG will go with this option or something similar like an extra library entry as there will be plenty of members who won't be able to run the RTX version.
To be 100% sure:
If you don't use Galaxy, it won't auto update.
You can always download the offline installers of the current version, either through Galaxy's Extras or with your browser from your library here on the site. That way you'll be certain you'll have a version you can run.
Thanks. It reminds me of what happened with Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 next gen upgrades on Steam. So many people started complaining that they can't run the games at an acceptable framerates anymore so Capcom had to put the original non ray tracing versions in the beta tab. So hopefully, CDPR does provide two separate installers like Metro Exodus.
