Heads up!
People have been reporting (I also have the problem) about this.
Check reddit and steam forums.
If you have 416.16 drivers, revert to older ones.
I also reported this to nvidia. Reverting now so I can continue Scenes From a Marriage, one of the best quests so far :D
All the best

You saved me from actually refunding game. Was annoyed as fuck about those gritches that ruin all gameplay.
Hi,

Nvidia has updated their drivers today to version 416.36. This did solve the problem for me.

It made everything even worse.

After updating to 416.16, a problem occurred with Witcher 3. Played the game for 150+ hours with rock solid OC, but after the update the game started randomly flashing black elements (rectangular) on screen everywhere on the map. Rolled back to 411.70 = flawless gameplay again.

End of quote!
Yep, same was happening to me. GTX 1060. The game was practically unplayable in certain areas, Sigi's bath house was by far the worst effected - Practically every inch of the screen was flashing. Rolled back to 411.70 and the problem has completely gone. Not going to chance updating again for a while.

Thanks OP. I'd looked all over Google and couldn't find anything.

I updated to 416.36 too and, even though it isn't worst, it is still the same for me. GTX 1060.
GTX 1060 here. I am running 411.70 and have no issues to speak of. If anything, it seems that the game finally got properly optimized with this driver. I do not recommend going to a newer one beyond 411.70 - YMMV
