I am wondering about the scale of the World/Setting where the Witcher story takes place. To clarify, the Witcher 3 game world/map is large :), but it is still clearly a compressed version of the distances involved in the world/setting. Such compression is necessary for gameplay reasons or else the world would feel empty. That does not prevent me from wondering about the "real" scale of the witcher world/setting, though, e.g. how many miles/kilometers would it be from Novigrad to Vizima and so on.

Does anybody know of a Witcher map that has a scale? Failing that, at least of a distance reference in the stories, that could be used to calculate scale?

I have asked a similar question a few years back and nothing definite existed then, but perhaps things have changed. :)
This was discussed in this thread where the conclusion was that Sapkowski never developed a scale for the world and so such a thing doesn't exist. The high definition map in that link will be your best bet for "guesswork".
