The King of Redania has tasked me with finding clues about the whereabouts of a witch. After finding the clue I talked to Triss in Novigrad. I decided to leave the evidence with her. (So the evidence should no longer be in my possession... I didn't notice it in the quest inventory.)

When speaking to Yennefer on the Skellige Isles I suddenly had the option to tell her about the fact that I had found the evidence. I decided to give her the evidence and the exact same sequence played out -- only that Yennefer now had the evidence.

I looked into the journal and the step "Give the evidence to Triss" was marked as failed, although I had completed it earlier.


I just hope the story will progress as if I had given the evidence to Yennefer in the first place.
