>130h of crash-free gameplay, then this week:
PC reboots when saving game, I have no idea whats going on.
Spec: Intel 3570K, R9 290 tri-x, asrock z77, 1 samsung evo ssd 256gb (2 years old), 1 WD 1TB, the PSU I can't remember exactly, but it definitly ain't the problem, since it's a new one I bought less than a year ago, 750w+.
Thing is, the problem ain't the power suplie or the temperatures (hyper 212 on CPU), I keep monitoring everything. The reboot problem started this week, whenever I get in the one game that is installed on my SSD (The Witcher 3) and attemp to save or it goes into a check-point/autosave, the PC reboots. That simple. Already installed game on the other HDD, nothing, happens the same. No even the temperature have the time to go a bit high.
The strange thing is, it only occours in this game and not even 1 single time while using the PC with other apps like chrome (also instaled on the sdd). Also, on the need for speed reboot, my xbox controller starts to "go off" like if I had been pulling the USB off.
So.. Have no idea. Tried with my x-box controller off, change the RAM slots, nothing.
Please help. It all started after I started the HoS quests.
Also, I always get a Kernel-Power id 41 error on event viewer every time the pc reboots

Hi, long shot since it's an old post, but... Did you solve the problem? And if so, how?
Exactly the same is happening to me and I can't find any answers.

Even if you install the game on another disk, your saves go into your userprofile save dir, which I guess is on your SSD.

Having worked in computer repair I'm 90% sure your problem is related to a faulty disk, PSU or a driver problem. Because it happens when you save the game I'm guessing your disk is faulty. I would do a scan using smartmontools to check the disk health.

And remember, no game or application should or will normally cause a reboot. It's almost always related to a hardware/driver problem

As Master W stated, it seems like a hardware issue.
I would like to add that since you are using and SSD for running your games, it would be nice to know if you have connected your SSD to the right port and that you the proper BIOS settings and version. Advice the motherboard manual in case you have any doubts about it. It can make a huge difference.
