No hypnosis on me while i figth against Morvudd. Because of this i could not finish the second part of contract. Removing all his health and then just watcing his thying to hipnosis me. I try many times without contract too. No way to do this

I have the contract for missing Son and with thru all the steps for this fiend. I too, have its health down to basically zero and it never spits at me to cause blindness for the quest to continue. I've tried reloading. and same thing. Unfortunate for me, I got tired of waiting for a fix or something. I continued other quest. I am so far in the story there is no way I will go back to old save to reset this.

if you have a superior cat potion on, it makes you immune to hypnosis. Try loading a safe before you fight it and make sure you don't have a superior cat potion on.

Only one way to pass this quest. It need 20 level to get hi[nosis.

I play the german Witcher 3 Version 1.08.3 and i am facing this issue with Morvudd.

Level 20 at the moment (yes i know its Level 29) quest.
the script is not working and Morvudd is immortal. i tried to use the witcher senses and give this beast a couple of minutes but it wont hypnotise me.
(no i dont use cat or other items)

i will come back later, change the map from Skellige to somewhere else and hope this will reset the event.

guess its still a bug and i hope the devs read this.

I just stumbled upon this fiend by chance (or better: by following that "?" on the map) and was wondering why the screen turned black suddenly - my Level was 24 by the way. I already had the contract quest in my journal, to be sure. So it definitely works in version 1.08.3.

i guess it is working for some people.
yeah the issue on my side is, the screen does not go black. i'll try the quest a few level later.

Interesting, now i was able to solve the quest with level 24 instead of 20 and Version 1.08.4
hypnotisied me when he was down to about 50%

No joy here either .... I've tried twice in this same game to beat Morvudd and he just not die.

Has anybody gotten any resolution on this? I've got the same issue, Morvudd is immortal, I'm not using any potions or spells and the fiend unsuccessfully tries to hypnotize me. I've tried reloading, going back to Velen, etc; all with no success. I'm at level 25 and I'd like to finish this quest.

There seems to be a different remedy for each build of this game. For some, if you get on Roach (your horse), you can kill Morvudd without him "blinding" you (cut-scene) and then running off, where you follow him.
For me (PC), the thing that worked is right before you get to Morvudd (behind the wall), change to Ciri by typing 'Ciri' (no 'quotes') in the debug console (~). After Ciri beats him down to less than 50% health, the game will automatically go into the cut-scene and Morvudd will run away (where you can follow and kill him any way you want). As soon as the cut-scene is through, type 'Geralt' (no 'quotes') into the the debug console to change back.
The key is to get Morvudd's health down to 25% to 50% health to activate the cut-scene.
