It's been bugging me since the first time I've seen it, the whale in Skellige only animates when close to it. When moving further from it the animation pauses, as if the game wants to use system resources for other things. Getting close again simply resumes the animation from where it paused. I don't see this as a bug, but a poorly implemented way to relocate system resources. I wish CDPR would fix it somehow though. It looks weird underwater too, the whale freezes into place when you swim away from it.
This made me see Skellige as being rushed in some ways. The lootcrates spread all over the seas feel like filler after a while. Very few of them may feel unique somewhat, but the majority play similarly: dive, shoot the monsters while underwater, loot the two or three crates.
