Is it true that you cannot import the final autosave into Witcher 3 and that there is no way to import a worldstate where Letho is alive? If so, then is if known if there is going to be a patch that allows you to import the final autosave where Letho is spared?

No it's not true.

But here's a tip. Don't worry about it. Do the question/answer thing instead. The vast majority of things from a saved game mean nothing in W3. So just answer the questions and get the exact state of the game that you want. Heck even some of these don't really matter all that much.

The reason I was worried about this matter is that an article in the wikia wiki said that there's no way to import a savegame that's made after the confrontation with Letho. Apparently that article has been edited since the last time I viewed it since I can't find that piece of misinfo in there anymore.

Welp. I imported my last savegame from TW2 and just found out that in my gameworld I inexplicably partook in the final boss fight that never happened.

Is there a way to fix this? You would think 3+ years after the game's release this kind of a thing would not be an issue.
