Have you installed the game via setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28.exe from the pre-load?

Afterwards you should install the day1 patch: witcher3_patch_1.01.exe
Is this when your error appears?
Same issue, and no, the pre installer won't install the game even though all the files are there and downloaded in full

You can see this from the image

Did you use Galaxy?
OK OP I have foudn the issue

It turns out if you cancel and redownload the files, they download as (xxxx (1)) instead of the original filenames. You MUST rename the files so they have the EXACT same filenames as the original files.

After I did that it started installing happily

Can you tell us to what names to rename all these files ?
The filenames are in the screenshot attached to the post

Urtho is right, I had the same problem and it was because one file said -2.2 . Renamed it and now it's fine.
Urthor i think you uploaded the wrong screenshot, what are the names of the files?

EDIT: I found the solution, you must only have the install folders in the one folder, nothing else.

Well done well done

Yea whoops I posted the wrong one

Here I'll type em out

setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-1
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-2
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-3
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-4
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-5
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-6

Done!
With file extensions, the correct file names for the pre-load installer are:

setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28.exe
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-1.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-2.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-3.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-4.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-5.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-6.bin
Hello, everyone. I've got the same problem, but already changed the "-1(1).bin" names and it still doesn't work correctly. I have "Edition of year" version and I've got another names of files. What's wrong?
