Having ran into issues with using mod files, I started to wonder - is there any specific order required for a "glitch-free" fresh Witcher 3 installation?

Technically I have four elements:

1. Main game files
2. The free DLC pack
3. 1.2.1 patch
4. Hearts of Stone

Thank you.

It *must* be:

1. Main game *version 1.10*
2. Patch *version 1.12.1*
3. Free DLC *version 1.12*
4. Hearts of Stone *version 1.12*

My point is the installer versions are important.

Thank you. Guess I'll have to do a full re-installation, since I don't quite remember if I followed that order or not. Hopefully it'll remove the errors I'm getting trying to run a few very important (to me) mods :)

Edit: Hm. So neither the DLC nor Hearts of Stone overrides any base files? Figured might as well double-check on that before going through the slog.

Files are overridden by elements of the free DLC, and definitely by Hearts of Stone -- they add to and use extant content.

I was mostly concerned about any new elements the patch introduces (1.12.1) being rolled back by the subsequent Free DLC and Hearts of Stone overriding appropriate files.

Anyway, thank you very much for the help. Pretty sure the out-of-order installation was the reason behind my problems :)

Going to toy around with current installation a bit, then will do a fresh one just in case there's other potential issues/conflicts introduced by improper order.

Lastly, GOG might want to include some warning regarding manual installation in the instal files themselves to help people avoid similar situations in the future ;)

Patch 1.12.1 was just a hotfix for the Gwent UI (screen and progress bar). Gwent DLC elements (new cards) are not part of the UI, so no worries there.
Thank you again for all your help. Got things working now.

The interesting part is that the issue with telemetry file is still present despite using your load order. I wonder if the manual GOG Downloader installation files may not be out of synch with the reported file version.

For the record, I'm using:

1. setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.40
2. patch_witcher3_1.10-1.12.1_2.0.0.43
3. setup_the_witcher3_dlc1-16_2.0.0.42
4. setup_the_witcher3_exp1_2.0.0.42

All are the latest files I have under GOG Downloader links.

Anyway, found the problem and fixed it. Enough tech support fun for one day XD

I don't have that issue, but it might be worth installing the patch (step 2) last, given the file numbers.
