Greetings and Happy Holidays y'all!
I've had Witcher 3 for some time and was always able to play without much hiccup. However, 80 or so hours into the game I've really started to notice constant stuttering. Nothing game breaking or crash worthy, but it's far from smooth and really interrupts immersion.
Looking at my resources I see my CPU (Intel i5 6600K) is clocking between 80-99% (80% usually in forests or idle zones/90+% in cities). My GPU (Nvidia 970GTX) is clocking between 40-75%. Temperature tests don't suggest that my hardware is being maxxed and I don't seem to have such problems with any other games.
I've tried capping 60 FPS, enabling VSYNC, changing Windowed vs bordered mode- all to no avail. My guess is something is causing my FPS to crash. While I'm technical, I'm not the best at relating that to gaming hardware/ experience. Any recommendations on how I can smooth the Witcher 3 performance?
Cheers,
