I have just downloaded the game from GOG.
When I try to start it from the desktop icon, a folder opens (att. file), but that is it. The game
does not start at all. No problems during installation.

My specs are ok, I think (i7, 32 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 1080)

I would be grateful if any of you could me.

I had the same problem! The new installer is broken. It creates broken shortcuts on the desktop and in the startmenu. All you have to do is start the game from the .exe ( in your witcher 3 folder go to bin/x64 and use witcher3.exe) and you should be good!

You should tell the GOG support about this problem ( I already did but the installer hasn't been fixed yet :( )
