I have a strange problem/bug.. I was playing TW3 when I noticed that I could not save nor delete my progress/game..
I am stuckwhere I am,, Everything else works fine, travell, combat, Gwent.. I have been playing TW3 for over a year now and never seen this problem.. I have removed mods, deleted saved games, and even re-installed the game X2.. And always at the end of installation I get an error message "error creating INI entry in file" C:\users\xxxxx\onedrivedocuments\the witcher 3\user.settings... Has anyone seen or heard of this problem and/or how to solve it...??? Stuck in Skellige Thank You J
It could be that something messed with your folder write permissions. That would deny you to create or delete files, but they could still be read.

Have a look at this and see if you have full control over the save folder:

I looked into your suggestion and found tat the savefiles were checked with everyone and all allows were checked.. So I don't think that was the problem.. I thank you for insight and idea and help, j2755..

OneDrive might be the problem. I'm not familiar with it, but can you move your saves out of there and into normal Windows documents?

I brought the onedrive and normal windows documents files up to compare and they ar exactly the same (size, date, content),.. Should I try deleting the OneDrive file or just leve it in place ?? Thank You for your idea and response.. j

They should be the same size as I understand it, since OneDrive is a sync'd copy of your documents. My point was that OneDrive may be where the problem lies in not being able to create the ini. Like I said, I'm not familiar with OneDrive so I can't advise whether to remove it or not. Maybe somebody with knowledge of OneDrive will come along and help you.
