Well, i recently bought a new headset with 7.1 surround sound (RIGG 500 headset). The problem i have is that setting the headset to stereo, the game sound is fine, volume is ok. However, when I'm switching to 7.1 surround in Realtek Audio Manager, there is an obvious difference in directional sounds, but Geralt's voice is quieter, and so is the voice narrating while the game is loading. And it's disturbing to hear the voice of NPCs that are meters away from me louder than Geralt's monologues. I've tried connecting the headset in the rear jack and front jack, and the problem is the same. Can someone help me maybe correctly setting up the 7.1 surround and help me fix this? :D
You're expecting (virtual) 7.1 miracles with a headset and Realtek audio? Good luck with that.

There is an obvious difference between 7.1 and stereo. I know headsets simulate 7.1 through software, and it works on other games, and there's a considerable difference. I'm having problems only with witcher 3. It's a shame not everybody has room for a 7.1 surround system.

Your problem is not "room", but Realtek. Get yourself a decent sound card.
Hey Megaten1245,

Hickory is right, using Realtek won't give you good results when using 7.1 simulated surround sound.
You can get decent sound cards (even external ones) quite cheaply and this will greatly improve the sound quality.
I use the SoundBox, 7.1 channel USB Sound Card which cost me around 29 euro's.
It's a very pleasant experience when playing The Witcher 3.

Of course there's loads more out there, so I would advice you to explore the options.

Good luck!
