Hello, I downloaded Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt GOTY Edition from CD which I bought some time ago. After I downloaded GOG always started an update which didn't prevent me from playing the game. But today I can't play the game. because of the 34 GB update. Any solutions or suggestions?

Having that same problem I bought Witcher 3 GOTY CD a 2 days ago and when i want to update the game to 1.31 version (on CD it is 1.30) that want me to download a 38 GB of data after download it GOG Galaxy just says that it has no acces to the Hard Drive. I just wrote some mail to CD Project RED service and have an info to use an scan and import folders in GOG Galaxy but it wont work for me. I tried so hard to repair that problem so if I have some info about this I will write is here ;)

Would be appreciated if you find a solution. Thank you alot. I just started playing it and now I can't. I get really bored.

Witam mam dokładnie ten sam problem. Podczas tej aktualizacji mogę swobodnie grać, ale pod koniec gdy mam około 99% wyświetla mi się problem o plikach i aktualizuje się od jakiś 40%. Jak zobaczyłem w internecie trzeba wejść w Wiedżmina nacisnąć ,,więcej - Zarządzanie instalacją- Sprawdzi /Napraw..". Ale nie mogę tego włączyć podczas aktualizacji. Proszę o szybką pomoc.

I have the same problem but somebody complained about it and they said it had to uninstall and download the whole game from Gog but from the browser not through the application Gog....
And they say it works then without any problems so I'm going to try.

I just uninstalled and downloaded it back from CD. It worked but not sure the update may come back.

It's just that he downloaded the game from the browser, and that update too, and everything was going as it should.
I have also reinstalled the game forbidden update and the game works fine but how it will begin to update so it is final and the game does not want to turn on after the update is canceled.
I'm going to try it through this browser because the CD version does not get the update.

And there is one more option that I've come across and that works for me to look into the settings there click on the download and check where your game is located and where the gog is.
Procedure: Settings, Downloads: Game installation folder and Other downloads folder to check if everything is placed correctly if it is not so much editing and it should turn it to me it needs to work now with updatem i have it installed and the game works If this does not work so do what I said before .....

Jesus, god damn it. I could buy Witcher 3 on Steam, and i wouldn't be angry like now. I have the same problem. Everything beacuse fucking GOG Galaxy. Why CDProjekt Red didn't give players a choice about platform. If they would give, i would chose Steam.

I don't know the CD version. However if the update is 34 GB, you might as well download the installer as it has the same size (assuming GOTY).

Galaxy offers the option to turn off auto updates, either per game or for all games.

You can try fixing it through Galaxy by rightclicking the game, choosing manage installation and than verify/repair.
