So I download the game with your fancy download manager and I get nothing from telling the downloader to install the game.

I manually go into the download folder and see the install executable and then a lot of The_witcher_2-1.bin.chunk0 through The_witcher_2-1.bin.chunk40.

I am confused here? Did I really pay $50 on a broken game from GOG?

And I do not see a redownload option with your fancy and streamlined downloader.

What should I do?

I think it's part of the checksum files.

They can be deleted.

I also have no Witcher 2-1 bin file either.

From what I remember about downloading through the downloader, those chunk files are supposed to be compiled into .bin files at the end of the download. I wouldn't delete them because there may be a way to turn them into the correct files, but I've no idea how you'd accomplish that.

Just wanted to chime in and say that deleting them without getting some second and third opinions would probably be a horrible idea.

The chunks get combined into the actual bin/install files. Deleting them without having done that seems like a dumb idea.

And yes, you paid $50 for a broken game. You special snowflake. Why do people seem to assume that just because they have somehow run into an issue that it affects everyone? Has humanity really become this self-centered? :p

I've went ahead and started to download the required fire from the availible browser download. I still haven't touched the chunks, but the downloader said it was 100% downloaded, and ready to install.

I'm not that self-centered, therefore no one is.

Oh wait. Shit. The only thing I can think to try would be to remove the download from the downloader and then add it again, keeping the files in that folder. It might work, it might not, but it's definitely worth a shot.

I'm still a bit hung over with my disappointment from DA2, and my minor installation problem was caused by myself. I stressed my computer into a BSOD when it was downloading the file I need so I blew up my download and corrupted the files.

Now I am going to put on my special snowflake uniform and redownload the game.

Interesting. When I downloaded the Witcher 1, I had a load of chunk files in the download folder, but I also had the *.bin files too. Wonder what prevented it from combining the files.
