The eloquence of your post has successfully persuaded me that this game is repetitive and boring! Yay you!

Maybe when you stop having your little tantrum you can politely ask for assistance. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to help a more mild-mannered version of you.

JaPan: Yrden and 5 or 6 heavy blows. Fight ended in 50 seconds. On normal.
This. Killed it on the first try on hard by just trapping it 3-4 times with Yrden.
Most bosses break out instantly or very quickly, so I think most people getting stuck here aren't even trying that because they assume it will be ineffective. But this boss doesn't break out at all. My Yrden wasn't upgraded, but I could easily get behind him and take 25%+ of his health each. Was actually a bit disappointed at the difficulty of this boss after I had so much trouble with the Act 1 boss :p
I agree with people about the bad autosave spot though, but I never ran into that problem.
I tried using Yrden, but I think he charged straight through it.
I ended up going to easy mode because I was getting tired of the Seltkirk part.

But the basic strategy I used was wait for him to charge, then roll out of the way then hit him in the back. After his charge he pauses for a couple of seconds and won't block you. When he calls for arrows or the fireballs, just try to find some cover. If you can stand behind something they won't hit you.
I did my third play through down the Alchemy path. Geralt wast, therefor, quite weak in melee and signs on this fight, since potions are negated.

Using fully upgraded bombs made this the easiest of my three runs at Draug. He was dead at the end of the first round of trebuche. I threw them as I dodged incoming fireballs. I actually hit him once with Aard and once with the sword, to be precise.

For the mist fights leading up to Draug, I figured out early that no matter the build, it is worth it to take at least one point in Riposte.

I am now leaning toward advocating at least one point in Alchemist (improved bomb/trap) too. It is extremely powerful and a useful alternative for Draug if nothing else is working for you.
Thank you for the information on how to fight the Draug. Worked like a charm! Hit him with Yrden twice went behind him and finished him off in one try. Awesome! Use Yrden sign everybody.
Fortunately, patch 1.2 introduced an autosave right before the Draug, so I guess we won't be having major problems here anymore :P

I didn't even know Yrden worked on him =) Its not that hard a fight regardless.

Used daggers and bombs to whittle down his initial shield.
Quen and dodging when he summons arrows / trebuchet fire.
Get in a couple heavy hits from behind when possible.
Could someone upload their save before fighting the Draug, or before the quest where you fight him please. I finished the game and deleted my saves but want to test something in this part again. Thanks
If you "push" the draug (keep hitting it) to a corner it can not use archers or its sword than just keep hitting it make sure you use heavy blows.

If you move away from it than it can use archers so if possible stay close to it that is if you can get that thing turn its back to you done it few times and it has worked.

Fayth: Any tips for fighting the giant Draug in Act II? I'm playing on hard and he is kicking my ass. Swordsman spec, and I haven't gotten the talent that gives you farther rolls.
One word, DAGGERS! Keep your distance and dagger him to death. Better use this technique before they nerf daggers in 1.3 :P

You could still start a separate thread for this sole purpose. I think it will be more effective. Reviving a dead thread brings bad luck. Not to mention, necromancy is banned in the northern kingdoms.
