Believe it or not (not Ripley's Believe it or Not) but this is a console game for the PC, and in the final analysis, it is a great game. Yes, I have been waiting for these VERY creative people, from CD Projekt to sally forth from Witcher 1, for 4 years now, and top the greatest game I ever played (it was the story and the dialogue that made it what it was) to top that effort, and they really did. However; this is a console game, and it should be touted as that. I was so upset trying to play with the keyboard, as I was when I first started playing, "The Bard's Tale" many years ago. But I got an Xbox 360 controller for windows, and amazingly, now I can run straight! now I kinda sorta know what I am doing in a scuffle....but there are massive issues with the controller and the layout. I am casting signs at the trees and the buildings, not at those who are trying to take me out. If this old guy could get some more mapping, on this controller, this could very well be the greatest game I have ever played. To solidify that statement, I have purchased the boxed edition, as well as the GOG edition, and I am having my PC upscaled to just play THIS game. I even recommend the THOR character as the Witcher, in the upcoming screen version - but I know not when that will come out.
Unfortunately the interface for keyboard and controller are both flawed. K+M complaints are found all over, which I agree with, and with the controller using the radial menu is a pain (having to select icons instead of using stick direction) and there is no individual option for journal or inventory outside of pausing the game.

Fighting is also harder I think since precision in aiming is lost.
