I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. First main quest where I go into his house at night. I've talked to him and am ready to move on, but I can't seem to leave.

There are two staircases, one up and one down. Guards block both of them and won't let me pass. How do I get out of the building?

There should be a door between the two staircases. Leaving the room Loredo is in (and turning right), it should be to your left.

Ahh, there it is! Can't believe I missed that for 5 minutes straight. Time to go to bed I guess.
