Within the launcher in the DLC menu, there's a "preorder code redemption" box..

To any and all who pre-ordered on GoG.. What is this? Did you get a code? If so, where was it?

At a complete loss considering I preordered what feels like an age ago.

No code for gog version mate, you can ignore that.

Edit: You can download the Troll Trouble DLC but that doesn't require a code.

Yes, but what about the English subtitles and such? Those are requiring a code for me.

EDIT: Sorry, I think the launcher was glitching. After reloading it, I finally managed to download the English voice-overs, though I'm still working on getting the sub-titles.

The game shipped with English included. You don't need to download 'em.

I assume those require registration with your game serial.

The redeem code Shalgroth mantioned is to redeem DLC exclusives that came with other versions of the game.

Ah! Cheers, that had me somewhat puzzled. Thanks for clearing it up Namur.

I preordered off gog, and when I go into the Downloadable content section and highlight Troll Trouble there is an entry for "Preorder Code Redemption" if I ignore that and click "Download" it changes the status to Downloading for a brief time then comes back and says "Invalid Code". Am I doing something stupid? or misunderstanding how this works?

Edit: I was able to install the polish subtitles and text without a problem.

No, you're not doing anything stupid, that's exactly how i downloaded it. The only thing i think you're required to do that maybe you missed is to register the game with the serial you got on your confirmation email, but after that the DLC should download without issues.

As far as I know it is registered, the launcher no longer gives a register offer and instead gives a link called "Registered users" that goes to the website.

The only thing I can think of is when i first went to the downloadable content section I put my cd code in for the preorder on the troll thing, and it failed. But now when I try I make sure its blank.

Yeah, in that case the game is registered and you should be able to download the DLC and i just spotted a thread where someone else is having the same problem.

I don't know if closing the launcher and running the patcher.exe from the game folder would reset whatever it is getting in the way there.

I kept getting errors about connection refused, so I thought perhaps the connection was dropping and the error message I was getting was bogus. So I started the download for the Polish voice overs thinking that was a large enough download where I'd see if I get the same problem. Unfortunately that one seems to be working fine and while its downloading I can't figure out how to cancel it to try the Troll one again.

When its done downloading I'll try rebooting the pc and seeing if that fixes the troll download.

As a side question does anyone know how to remove a downloadable content after its been downloaded?

I think you need to delete "DLC" files from X:\Program Files\GOG.com\The Witcher 2\CookedPC folder 8)

You'll probably have to delete the respective files from the game folder, i'm not sure if there's another way.

The Troll DLC for instance, it downloads to... /Documents/Witcher 2/Downloads and it's copyed over to .../gog.com/The Witcher 2/CookedPC.
