Mod does not work with version 1.3

Oil Duration Extension by eRe4s3r
Extends most weapon oils to have a 30m duration

Newsflash

The Mod can now be found The Witcher Nexus and is merged under 1 mod
http://witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5

Complete with Install Instructions - all-in-one download, and separate downloads for each component.

--------------

http://filesmelt.com/dl/def_stats_item_oils.xml

Simply download this file either directly to the The Witcher 2\CookedPC\items directory, or download it anywhere and copy it to the The Witcher 2\CookedPC\items ;p

Note 1: If theres no Items directory under CookedPC create it yourself (New Folder -> Items) And copy the xml in there.

Note 2: Be sure to right click on the link below the AD on the filesmelt mirror and save as (or save target as) or whatever you call it. Make absolutely sure your browser is not trying to open the xml file (even though its marked as a file, not a web-page, so this is the browser to blame! ;p)

Can be used with Potion Duration Mod
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/mod_potion_duration_extension

And any other mod, as long as it doesn't change this file.

Want to mod yourself? Here is how

Great to see the modding spirit in the community! Your efforts are much appreciated!

May I ask, since you managedt to extract and edit gamefiles, have you encountered the quest scripts? Would you be able, if provided those files from Australian and non-Australian sources, pinpoint and edit the censorship imposed? AFAIK the changes consisted in forcing player's decisions in one quest, so the rest of the script might still be there. This of course for the sake of all those poor Newzealanders stuck with the AU edition out there...

I have seen them but as I don't have a censored version of the game files i have no idea what is different between them. Someone who does could do a very quick and dirty "compare files" check and just distribute those that are changed in the censored version though.

How big is the file? I'm sure if we spread the word arround the community, AU users will be more than happy to provide you with theirs'!
Many thanks for this and the potion one. Now I don't have to worry about running my duration out during a cut-scene or because I wanted to look around.

I can't really specify that, while i scrolled through the files i don't particularly understand what files do what. (So i am not sure, it could be 400kb, or 6gb ;p)

I could write up a very short tutorial how to extract the pack0.dzip though - someone else would have to do the uncensoring for the aussie's, preferable an aussie with both game versions ^^

That would be legen... dary! And in my eyes would merit at least a medal and a parade.

Well there you go http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/how_to_unpack_the_pack0_dzip_for_modders

Though i just followed the steps, nothing is my own "discovery" ;)
There's no "Items" directory in CookedPC; should the XML file be copied into CookedPC, or should an items directory be created and into there?
