p0tn00dl3: cant beleve your letting a silly thing like the small letterboxing stop you playing a fantastic game. Get over it in fact i hadnt noticed it untill i saw this post.
1. Firefox has a built-in spellchecker. It could really help you
2. Perhaps he has a vision impairment of some sort and the small text on tooltips and weird UI scaling is detrimental to his pleasure
3. What is silly to you might not be to someone else's. Why do you patronize him?

Blocking sometimes doesnt work because you've run out of... stuff. Same stuff used when you cast your fireball etc

RageGT: Only thing I want for my TW2 is a savegame management system .. it fills up the HD like TW1 and without a manual cleaning... argh... 7GB of save files are not necessary!

And a Storage Chest somewhere, please!!!!+
Check out the mods! Someone has created mods that address both of these issues.

Thank you Tigerlord. Honestly, I feel its the weird UI scaling that is bothering me the most. I just can't play the game for more then an hour without feeling physically tired. I wouldn't have preordered the game if I knew they didn't have all the resolutions in from the beginning. I would have rather waited till later.

Another game that did this to me was Fear 2 which didn't patch it in until a month or 2 after the game came out if I remember correctly.

As for those saying it's silly. Yes to you it is. I'm sure it doesn't bother you. However, I am not the only one in the world that cannot stand letterbox when it comes to viewing stuff on a monitor or tv screen. It bothers me and ruins the experience. I'm thrilled it doesn't bother you, if you have to just bitch about how I'm wrong just don't write anything seriously. I don't care.

I wish I could just enjoy the game, but as it stands right now, I cannot.

Oh and he has to patronize me cause he's just being a troll, don't mind him.
yeah to be fair it was a bit trollish. if it makes you ill then i gess you have a good enough reason i found the motion blur made me feel sleepy. have you tried running the game without that ?

Oh I have turned off motion blur, thanks for the suggestion though, that bothers me as well. It's honestly that I just can't bring myself to play for a hour or more because of it being letterboxed, and now that Tigerlord mentioned it, the UI scaling does bother me as well. IT physically bothers me after awhile. Even more so, I don't watch movies in theaters because they tend to bother me as well because of the scaling.

I love CD projekt as a company, I wish they just made this clear or posted it somewhere to say this wasn't going to be in the game at the time of release. They may have in their forums but it certainly wasn't prominently posted. It really makes me feel like their aiming at getting it ported to console as fast as possible. That's only a guess. I would have rather them delayed the game 2 or 3 weeks to patch this in and fix the other bugs people are experiencing.

I actually noticed one, what I think is a bug as I was playing. I bought a book about the termeran royal linage in flotsom. It said in the book that adda was essentially forced into being killed the second time she changed into a striga. However, my save from the witcher 1, I saved her and in the beginning of the witcher 2 Foltest specifically mentions her being alive and married.

At this point I'm just waiting to hear any word on when CD Projekt is going to patch in the resolutions. Until then, I've decided to stop playing because I don't want it to ruin how I experience the game.
