Kindo: ... 'died under mysterious circumstances.'
I do not equate "died under mysterious circumstances" with "died of illness". Hence the question.

goopit: Temerian nobles didn't want Boussy or Anais to sit on the throne remember how they wanted to make Louisa/Aryan sign a contract that they had incestuos relation and it'd remove the childrens claim to the throne.
Yes, but what we are discussing about is how Boussy died and there isn't any explanation for this in the game.

that is just a very small back story though. geralt can't split into 2 and be at 2 totally different places at the same time. although the game doesn't even tell us how the redania king got his hand on the princess and how his brother die.

spoilers

you would know this if you chose to rescue the countess in the prologue.

I believe the Kaedwenis (Dethmold) got their hands on the royal bastards. And the last time we see the countess she was with the Nilfgaardians.

the ambassador suppose to have taken the countess + children after the prologue, how the keewindians got their hands on the surviving kid I don't know.
