This is my favourite topic

So I'm travelling to the place of power right, I get there, I go into the crypt, kill the zombie dude, grab the standard and get out. I realize quest marker's on an impassable hill outside the crypt. Hmmm. Once I get the standard nothing updates, nada. I run back to talk with Cecil, and the sorceress in Vergen. NOTHING. NO QUEST FINISH OPTIONS AT ALL. D:
I think I've hit a broken quest. I've tried reloading, same shit. Help me now.

Search around there is another path up to the tower.

If you're still having trouble finding the magic place, if you look up there is clearly a tower where the quest marker is. search around and there is a path up to it.

The game introduces a new "move" as well, which is why this section is so confusing, before that you never before had to actually jump across a chasm or gap, but in this case, you have to. Climb up the path to the magic place , at the end is a certain place where you can left click to "jump" (instead of drop or climb)

I didn't want to tell him the answer. ;) I think the "jump across" ledge looks the same as the drop down ledge. Once i figured out that you had to go around I understood it pretty well.

You should have in your inventory a map which shows the exact path you should take to get there. It involves a bit of roundabout path and some jumping. I spent a good chunk of time running arround that thing also, never going close enough to the edge to get the jump trigger.
