First of all I have to say I love the new combat system, it's nice having mutagen and alchemy based talents, the game looks great, and I think from my experience so far it'll be a better game than the first.

However some things that suck ...

Not being able to change talents or mutagens. There's just no good reason to force players to live with their mistakes in talent builds anymore, in any game. It's hard to know if what looks good on paper will work well in practice, and no one wants to have to start over because they screwed up or changed their mind.

Blocking and signs are awkward. There is often a delay, and with the more difficult combat this can get you killed and it's frustrating. Note: I know you can't block without some vigor, and am not confusing that as a delay.

Requiring meditation to drink potions was unnecessary - the way it worked in the first game was fine, it had an animation and was risky to do in combat.

Single roll dice is annoying. There should be an option to simply continue and play again after you win/lose, without having to re-initiate dialogue and ask to play again..

Picking herbs is still a two step process. It just doesn't need to be. It's not that bad, I know, but I did say "nitpicks".

still the most stupid thing ever.. vigour + block = bad

I agree with your complaints. However I don't understand how picky herbs is a two step process. I am playing with the controller and I just need to press X and he picks it up without having to stop or anything.

I am hoping that future updates remedies these problems.
