Hey guys im sorry if this is piracy or is there anyway to contact the developers. The reason is because i have witcher 2 steam version, but i have a bug that makes the game unplayable such as i cant talk to any npc even quest ones and life bars dissappear.

I have tried to find a fix but seems only a few have this problem, the only way for me to be able to talk to npcs again is to restart my pc, so i basically only get about 30 or 1 hour if im luck of playtime.

I really like this game sucks i cant play well enough to have fun.My question is if i can use the gog.exe of witcher 2 on steam version and were can i find one, because since the steam version has DRM is might be related since all the npcs lock up thus stopping interactions and restarting the game or loading a previous one doesnt fix it only restarting the pc.

Any help would be appreciated since i do like this game (i have the first one). Thanks

The only DRM that Steam version has is Steam it self. What ever your problem is, I highly doubt it has anything to do with Steam.
Oh ok thanks for the info.

It just worries me since not that many have this problem, it might not be fixed in the upcoming patch. I just want to try with the gog.exe, i highly doubt it will fix it but i have exhausted my options. Is there anywere i can get the gog.exe, anywere that is safe?

If anyone highly doubts it will be fixed by using the gog.exe, let me know or if anyone has experienced this problem and found a way to prevent it.

Since this bug/problem does make the game unplayable literally.

yes, steam does not contain securerom (which is killing retail versions atm) so id rather doubt that is your issue, however you can use the gog exe with steam if you would like, i cant tell you where to obtain or anything but you need the witcher2.exe as well as the paul.dll from the gog version for it to work.

I have the steam version as well, and found no difference what so ever, so verified my files and went back to pure steam :)
Thanks i appreciate the help. Will wait for the patch then, hopefully its fixed.
