Can't win the two consecutive fistfights in Flotsam to stop the hangings.
Is there a way to make this easier? I'm already playing at EASY level, but still can't win.
I've tried setting QTEhard to OFF, but it makes no perceptible difference.

Now you will never fail a QTE...

Try to look 'behind' the monitor when you''re doing it (each button has a different postion on the screen).

I dunno, I found all mini-games to be really easy...

Are you using Keyboard and Mouse? You may want to try using a controller. I'm mainly a KB/M user, but there are certain games for which I switch to a controller cos it's easier at certain parts. I found all the mini-games relatively easy, but could never win at arm-wrestling with my mouse (not sure if it had anything to do with the relatively low DPI). Switched to an XBox360 controller and won every one of them. Switched back to KB/M for everything else cos it's much better.

Same for Arkham Asylum. Played with KB/M throughout the whole game, but kept dying in the fight with Poison Ivy. Switched to a controller and beat her in one try.

I was having trouble at first with fistfights but quickly figured out you dont need to control mouse during them so left hand does the W key
and right hand does the ASD keys

Havent lost a fight since or even been remotely challenged!

But yes, like combat, fist fighting would work perfectly on a controller (amazing how its 4 buttons, not 3, not 5, but 4)

If your useing a keyboard try finger position as I suggested OP,

Are you kidding me? I was going to post something about fistfights too easy. They are auto win, easy cash. Never lost any fistfight to be honest. I'd like CDPR to make it more complicated in future games/add-ons/patches

I don't think they're too hard, but is there any way to change the bloody key bindings?

I use a AZERTY layout keyboard. The actual game controls recognise it and automatically let me use ZQSD instead of AWSD. The QTEs however don't. And to be able to use AWSD at the pace the fistfights require I'm pretty much breaking my fingers. Rotten.

to be honest, i think the QTEs are laughably easy. Just look in the middle of the screen and wait just concentrate on which directos you see something popup, and then press the button for that direction. Dont wait until you can read them...

This is exactly what I ended up doing, and for me this illustrates the problem with the QTE's. The purpose of a well-placed QTE (I think Uncharted 2 is a good example) is to allow you to do something spectacular that is otherwise impossible or highly unlikely within the game mechanics. In the case of most of the Witcher 2 QTE's, they actually take me out of the game, concentrating too hard on where and when they pop up and missing the actual underlying scene.

I much prefer the Witcher 1 fight mechanics. Once mastered, fighting was trivial, but they could have been tuned up with the new combat styles to keep you in the fight.

I too find fistfights to be absurdly easy. I'm not sure how anyone could have a problem with this. The sequences never get more complex than having 1-2 combos, and theres plenty of time to push the buttons.

If youre having trouble with them, I might suggest devoting two hands to the keys involved, and split the keys between them. Theres no way you could have any trouble with them doing that.

I was on 1920 rez 24" monitor and sitting too close so turned my rez much lower and was able to see the mico second flashes much better...I guess its a peripheral vision thingy!!

Focus your sight in a single point in the middle of the screen and let your human peripherical sight ability works. It works like a charm. You'll never miss a button or hit the wrong one!

all mini-games are way too easy. Some arm wrestle games are tough but that's all. Especially the dice, I'm winning most of the time and that was not the same in TW1. MAybe just luck.
