Sometimes this game is just stupid: Alright, I need a harpy trap and I am in Vergen and I have been searching my arse off for that. So I have no book seller, no trap seller, no one who seems to be able to sell me a crafting recipe for this trap. How do I get it? Any help would be greatly aprreciated

There is a book seller in the main market area (with all the stalls) - it's behind the gate that is closed when you first enter the place. The recipe seller is in the human enclave, which is behind the Inn. Instead of going down the steps to the Inn, you go up to the right, past it. I actually gave up on this quest because even after getting the traps (which also took me ages to figure out how to do), the harpies never lifted the traps to blow up the nests more than 4 times. Tried all the harpy spots and the number just stayed stuck at 4/7.

Hehe, just stumbled accross that while rechecking all the merachants! Thanx anyway :)

AND about your problem: There are only 4 nests in the quarry. You need to exit vergen through the other gate and gtet into the forest where the magic tower is. There is a canyon somewhere behind it where you will also find Harpy and there you will also find the other nests

Really? Because I went out there but I don't remember a canyone with nests.. Maybe I missed something. But thank you, too! Hehe.

It is quite a maze back there, but it definitely exists!

And I just came across a new problem: Now I have all the traps, tried to set it, died, relaunched game and reloaded and suddenly: The entire population of Harpies is gone :D....just nests,. no creatures. => BUG

Biggest problem I had was finding enough timber for the traps :P.

As for finding nests, it seems it's not really required - all I needed was traps and harpies. I got the 7/7 nests in the Quarry alone, just by planting one whenever a harpy appeared nearby, and running away a bit. It does seem like the "special" harpies won't touch them, they have to be regular ones.

Still, as I said, I didn't need to mess with the ones elsewhere at all.

Well, thats just the gullies, if you remember, the dream cave quest also has harpies, and yes, they have nests too ;) Nearly every encounter to the blue crystal is a possibility to take a nest down. (Not the main-boss fight though)
