That is a perfect reason not to get the game. I don't want to lose 10% of the viewing area. I refuse to buy 1 of those cheap crap 1920*1080 monitors.

Anyway since it bothers you don't buy the game on launch. They have announced a patch to bring native support for 16:10, so wait until then :) Glad you are not angry about the wait.
Edit: Oh and since you won't get the 10% discount for pre-ordering I guess it's a win-win for everyone, you get 16:10 support and CD Projekt get 10% more from you :)

Professional workstations usually use professional S-IPS panels (either a Dell or HP if on budget, or Eizio if they have the money), and most if not ALL professional panels have a 16:10 aspect ratio nowadays.
Why 16:9 specifically? It's weird.
16:10 is better for gaming.
